English abstract:
A habitable base on the lunar surface is considered to be essential for human space exploration. In Space like on Earth, buildings and equipment have multiple effects during their entire lifecycle and decisions made in an early design phase have long term consequences.
This paper introduces the following strategies: Sustainability in terms of External Changeability, Internal Changeability, Mobility, Life Span, and in terms of the Design Process.
The issues discussed in the paper are illustrated with examples from contemporary architecture and design from Earth, Space and Moon, leading to a discussion for their possible application for a sustainable lunar base development.
