Naked Science: Building a Better Planet
Buildings are the main contributor to climate change, responsible for nearly 50% of CO2 emissions. Whose responsibility is it to reduce these emissions: architects, builders or the end users? Is sustainable development expensive? Are environmental issues less important than aesthetic concerns? Speakers include architect Will Alsop and Pooran Desai, Director and Co-Founder BioRegional Development Group. The event will be facilitated by Tim Radford, Science Editor, Guardian.
