March 27, 7:00 p.m. at UBC Robson Square Theatre. London-based architect
Will Alsop frames his practice as an international operation guided by the idea
that architecture is both a vehicle and symbol of social change and renewal.
The Vancouver Art Gallery is pleased to present Alsop in a discussion of his
recent and current projects. His best known buildings include the Peckham
Library and Media Centre; Hamburg ferry terminal and the North Greenwich
Underground station, London. He is currently developing Walsall Waterfront
for Urban Splash in the West Midlands, a new medical college in Whitechapel,
