English abstract:
Two kinds of drying cereals, especially rice, were common in china over the centuries. Wherever possible people dried the ricebundles directly on the floor. Where climatic conditions caused problems, constructions for hanging drying were used. Historic pictures show that the drying devices remained unchanged. Only the minority peoples initiated alterations. A really astonishing variety of different types was created by the Dong people. These drying racks are introduced and described in detail as an expression of their unique building technology.
