Artists, Architecture and the Future of the City
Tate Liverpool and CAVA (Centre for Visual Arts and Architecture) and the Department of Philosophy at the University of Liverpool are hosting an international regeneration conference in June 2008


As Tate Liverpool celebrates 20 years on the dock, this exciting conference investigates the methods and meanings of urban regeneration in contemporary Liverpool and cities around the globe. Involving artists, architects, historians and cultural commentators in three linked discussion sessions, Magical Mysterious Regeneration Tour will provide a forum for critical debate on the purposes, benefits and costs of regeneration. Speakers include architect Will Alsop, historian John Belcham, sociologist Saskia Sassen and cultural theorist Tristan Hunt among others. For more details, please click here.
